There is something that we would like to share with you from our client’s experience.

It’s about why it is important to know the personality potential of your people when looking at promoting internally.

Our client had promoted a team member to a higher position with more responsibility, as this person had proven to be a performer in his first role.

But after some time, the team member was noticed to be in a bad mood. There was a mess around his desk with papers and he also started pushing deadlines and didn’t handle tasks as easily as before.

When the client addressed it, he found that this person was under a lot of pressure and didn’t know what to do next. He had many tasks, and he could not see anything completed behind him. He had started to feel he could not manage anything.

The production check interview had confirmed this person was a Performer with a great commitment.

However the personality questionnaire revealed a lower ability to organise and plan (this was related to the A trait). The team member’s attention was getting dispersed and he was struggling to organise according to the most important priorities.

Once this was realised in his personality evaluation, the client implemented specific steps that worked beautifully.

Within a few days, it was already clear that the team member was again in high production and a good mood.

Our tip is: As the first step when promoting your people or increasing their responsibilities, we recommend knowing their personality potential. So that you and your team members do not have to worry and take certain measures in advance.

We use our EXEC-U-TEST for this, in the results of which you will find a lot of tips and tricks for the further development of an individual.

This is also why clients love the training Personality; Understanding People and Developing Their Potential. There is so much to know about people and increasing understanding of people, how they function, why they do what they do, and how to get the best out of them is imperative especially in the current times.

And of course if you ever need help with an existing evaluation completed, make sure to reach out and we’ll go through it with you.
