When things get tough; for example hiring is taking longer because ads are not getting enough of the right candidates, stress and other thoughts may start to creep in.

“Is there anyone out there” “does this work” “no one wants to work with me” “should I drop my standards”….

This is only natural but how we respond is what is crucial and makes all the difference.

ACTION creates results.

One step before ACTION is IDEA.

From your Performia training you will know the sequence of IDEA-ACTION-RESULT.

So to achieve a particular result, we must ensure there’s enough action before it to cause the result.

And if the actions are not achieving the result we want, we need to refer back to the IDEA and consider if the strategy requires change.

If something is moving not as expected, we recommend that you revisit the fact finder.

Was something missed? Has something changed since the hiring started? Have you added some barriers that were not totally necessary?

Always revisit the fact finder if there’s a stop or slow down as this is step 101!

Then, revisit the Ads. Write new ones, make them TOUGHER. Change the wording. Consider new people to target.

Then, OUTFLOW like crazy!

Post 10+ ads across multiple channels but make them different so it appeals to the category you’re targeting. And refer to the list of platforms in your fact finder template for more ideas.

There are some things we can control and some things we can’t.

In sport, we can’t control the weather or how the umpires make a call. But we CAN control how we play, how we react, how we handle our teammates.

Business and recruitment is the same. We can pray for better results or we can outflow. (or do both)
